Easily copy and paste multiple items from several different folders on Mac OS X.

 
 

Copy Assistant allows you to copy multiple items from several different folders and paste them all at once to any folder of your choice.


  1. "Welcome to Copy Assistant" window is a quick guide for reminding the special keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Cmd+C) and 3 simple steps for using the app in the most efficient way. Once closed it can be opened by selecting "Welcome to Copy Assistant" in the top menu of Copy Assistant.


    1. It is recommended that Copy Assistant should start every time you login to your Mac OS X, so select

        the checkbox "Start Copy Assistant at Login".


    2. You can deselect the check box "Show this window when Copy Assistant opens" after you have

        learned the special keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Cmd+C) and 3 simple steps for using the app.

  1. In order to use the application it must work in the top Menu Bar and it should be turned on. The status must be: "Copy Assistant: On"

and the icon must be black

  1. Main steps to use the app in the most efficient way:


  1. 1.Copy items (files, folders, apps, etc.) from different places or folders of your Mac with the regular keyboard shortcut (⌘C) or by choosing Edit -> Copy from the top menu. You can copy as many items from different folders as you want.


  1. 2.When everything you wanted is already copied press special keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Cmd+C) or select "Make Items Ready for Pasting" from the Copy Assistant menu. With this special keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Cmd+C) you will make all the previously copied files, folders, apps, etc. ready for pasting.


  1. 3.Paste all the items (files, folders, apps, etc.) into the folder of your choice with the regular keyboard shortcut (⌘V) or by choosing Edit -> Paste from the top menu.


  1. *It is recommended to press (Ctrl+Cmd+C) every time just before pasting (pressing ⌘V). It will assure that all the latest copied items will be ready for pasting.

  2. The List of copied items:


  1. 1.You can view and edit the list of copied items to prevent the pasting of unnecessary files or folders. It can be done by selecting “Edit List of Copied Items” from the Copy Assistant top menu.


  1. 2.Once the "List of Copied Items" is edited press (Ctrl+Cmd+C) to make all the copied items ready for pasting.


  1. 3.The list of copied items can be cleared by pressing (Ctrl+Shift+X) or by selecting “Clear List” from the top menu of Copy Assistant.


  1. If the status of the app is: "Copy Assistant: Off" and the icon in the top Menu Bar is grey the instructions above will not work. Such status of the app could be used if you do not want to use Copy Assistant app for several days.
